The Teuchter Batch 3 is an 18 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky independently bottled by Decadent Drinks under its Decadent Drams range. Distilled at Tomatin Distillery and matured in sherry wood, this 2008-vintage whisky received extended maturation including time in a second-fill European oak sherry butt. Bottled in 2026 at its natural strength of 47.2% ABV, only 436 bottles were produced. The long sherry maturation delivers a rich profile of dark fruits, honey, plums, figs, chocolate, warming spice and mature oak.
Food Pairing: Aged cheddar, roasted walnuts, dark chocolate, fruit cake, sticky toffee pudding or desserts featuring plums, figs and blackberries.
Tasting Notes: Rich and mature with dark sherried fruit, honeyed sweetness, chocolate and warming spice balanced by earthy, resinous and seasoned-oak character.
Nose: Ripe plums, blackberry jam and stewed figs with caramel, raisins, cinnamon, honey and darker oak notes.
Palate: Rich and smooth with plums, dark fruit preserves, honey, chocolate and dried fruit, followed by pine, cedar and warming spice.
Finish: Long and warming with dark fruit jam, dried fruit, chocolate, seasoned oak and lingering spice.
Serve: Best enjoyed neat at room temperature. A few drops of water can be added to open up the dark-fruit, honey and spice character.
