Grown in the Chirinos district of Cajamarca, this washed Caturra is a community-driven effort from the newly formed PAWQARA cooperative. Founded to empower local families and highlight variety-specific quality, the lot offers a refined, tea-like structure with stone fruit sweetness and a unique dried fig finish.
Medina Toro joined PAWQARA to see his carefully grown coffee sold as a distinct lot rather than disappear into a regional blend. The cooperative began in 2022 around families in Chirinos. Hatch sourced this 2025 Caturra through Swift Coffee and recommends filter brewing for its peach, pear, dried-fig and black-tea profile.
