#2 of Top 25 Cigars of 2005, Cigar Aficionado
93 points, Cigar Aficionado
The Montecristo Edmundo serves as the standard-bearer for the brand’s robust, thicker-ring-gauge offerings. Named after Edmond Dantès—the protagonist of Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo—this vitola was introduced to meet the modern aficionado's preference for a substantial, well-filled cigar that provides a generous, slow-burning experience. It perfectly captures the classic Montecristo DNA, delivering the signature "tangy" spice and creamy depth that has defined the brand for generations, but with a structural presence that commands attention.
